The cues that come from a subtle single twitch or quiver on the lip that tells you that your friend is afraid, angry or in deep mourning. The cue that cannot be put into words that instantly begs a hug, a tight hug that miraculously absorbs all that pain and distress in the very same instance. An instance where insanity beckons but is waded off by a timely fluffy bear hug invited by a subtle twitch on the lip. We humans are about to lose that. Stolen by masks.
#STAND UP FOR WANJIKU
We can no longer be bystanders. We must give voice to the voiceless. We must open our eyes when there’s time to do something. To our White brethren we said, to be silent is to complacent when Mr. Floyd was killed. For us to be silent, to preserve our personal comforts is to be complacent to a system that’s on high gear in enslavement of Wanjiku.
CESSATION OF THINKING?
This is not a call for carelessness but to prevent cessation of movement to slide further down cessation of thinking path. It’s a call for a genuine and unafraid debate.This is not a lack of empathy to each loss or suffering but the discussion that we must have even in personal pain and tragedy. Civil obedience thrives in civil discourse.
